Humidity Control Capabilities

Secret 2   Stable Humidity Means Increased Storage Quality:

Characteristic explanation

 

 

 The microcomputer digital display is able to
 more accurately control humidity. The feature
 is that it is directly connected to the
 dehumidifier, so that, for example, if the
 humidity is set to 40% RH, the humidifier is
 ordered to stop dehumidification as soon as
 the desired humidity is reached. Most brand-
 name air conditioners and household
 appliances are of this design which is safe
 and reliable. It is suggested to select good
 and credible products of which the humidity is
 sampled and corrected by ITRI 4 times
 between 60% RH and 20% RH, as well as the
 error is controlled at ±2%.

 The Microcomputer-controlled design is not
 suitable for the link with the applications
 using high-molecular physical dehumidifier.
 
For example, suppose the humidity is set to
 40% RH. Although the microcomputer orders
 the dehumidification to stop when the
 humidity is reached, yet molecular drying
 materials will continue desiccate the
 moisture, so that the humidity will be lower
 than 40%. When it returns back to 40% RH,
 the computer will activate the venting function
 for 40 minutes that causes humidity to greatly
 increase. Thus, the microcomputer-controlled
 function cannot be effectively applied.

 

Analogue hydrometer display + humidity switch: most products on the market use hands made in Japan or Germany, and the hydrometer quality of each manufacturer varies widely.

It is suggested that the products inspected and corrected by ITRI are used to demonstrate more credibility, because the hydrometer cannot be connected to the humidifier, there is no direct humidity control that results in wider humidity variation.

As with any non-microcomputer design, air conditioners using disconnecting switches will cause wider variation of indoor temperatures (for example, air conditioning turned on before bedtime should be turned off mid-night to avoid becoming ill) resulting in unnecessary operation and power consumption, et al.

The above two SATV dehumidification technologies have over 10 years of manufacturing and marketing experience, and are technologically stable in order to fit the needs of different anti-humidity requirements of objects.  Microchip dehumidification is more applicable to the control range between 70% and 20% RH; it is often applied in professional storage and the storage of industrial materials.  Molecular-physics desiccant dehumidification is often applied in the storage and anti-humidity of general objects and low-humidity models (below 20%).
